There are still plenty of special holiday events taking place around Whidbey Island over the next couple of weeks.

Christmas Village:
Visit the Christmas Village at the Blue Fox Drive-In this weekend and next. This free event features holiday activities, petting zoo with Magic the unicorn, games, a visit with Santa and more. This free event is sponsored by Whidbey Island Lions Club, Toppins Frozen Yogurt and Blue Fox Drive-in.

Don’t miss Santa’s visit to these central Whidbey neighborhoods, courtesy of Central Whidbey Fire and Rescue:

Drive-Thru Visit with Santa:
Everyone is invited to drive up the hill to enjoy lights, music, decorations, and greetings from Santa and friends. Visitors should remain inside their vehicles, and follow all safety guidelines, including wearing masks and social distancing. Optional donations of non-perishable food will be collected for the Good Cheer Food Bank.

Christmas Concert at the Ducken Farm:
Enjoy an evening of Christmas cheer, featuring live, local music, cocoa, cider, snacks and more. Find gifts, enjoy hot chocolate and a bonfire, shop for winter produce and more.  Extreme weather such as ice, high winds or snow will cancel the market. If this happens, there will be a make-up market on Sunday, Dec. 19, also weather-permitting.

Friends of the Clinton Library Book Sale:
Bring your own camera and the kids to this event and take photos with Santa in front of a festive holiday backdrop from noon to 2 p.m. Every child gets a free book; after that, children’s books are three for $1. All proceeds support the Clinton Library.

A Holiday Party:
This event benefits local dance students at Rise Academy of the Arts.  Enjoy a magic show, decorate a craft, participate in a dance party and visit with Santa. Santa’s Holiday Playlist:
The Whidbey Island Orchestra has planned an evening of glad tidings and good cheer sure to warm hearts and get everyone in the holiday spirit. “Santa’s Playlist” includes selections from “Charlie Brown’s Christmas” to “The Nutcracker,” from beautiful carols and Chanukah songs to the Grinch and Mariah Carey.
