Letter to the Editor

This community was again so very supportive of the recent 20th Annual Coupeville Lions Club Scholarship Dinner and Auction.

It was a big success, earning approximately $32,000 from the live auctions, dessert dash, and donations, some online. We were especially thankful that the majority of costs were offset by generous sponsor donations from Prairie Center, Whidbey Island Bank, Peoples Bank, Windermere Whidbey, Edward Jones Coupeville, Front Street Realty, The Coupeville Inn, and Kingfisher Bookstore.

These sponsor donations allowed all of the earnings to be distributed this spring to deserving graduating seniors in the Coupeville School District.

Many thanks to the sponsors, the support from the Coupeville School District, and the hard‑working Lions who planned and worked diligently to help make these financial opportunities possible for our students.
