Carolyn Gillentine Marchman Littell
November 28, 1950 — July 16, 2021
Carolyn was born in Graham, Texas Nov. 28, 1950, to Dee, Sr., and Juanita Gillentine, and passed away July 16, 2021, with her loving husband, Clarence Littell, and stepdaughter, Vickie McDougal, by her side. She chose to donate her body to the University of Washington Teaching Hospital for medical research in Seattle, Wash.
Carolyn graduated from high school in Graham, Texas in May 1967. She married Randy Marchman on May 22, 1971. They lived in Graham for a while before moving to Kansas City, Kan. She and Randy divorced, and Carolyn moved to Oak Harbor, Wash., in the spring of 2014 to be near her son, Eric Marchman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dee Gillentine, Jr. and Eugene Gillentine; and by her niece, Crystal O’Neal. She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Littell; sons, Paul, Eric, and Ryan Marchman; and three grandchildren, Scarlett, Edric, and Leta Marchman. She is also survived by Littell children, Dennis and Sharon, Vickie and Robert, Cindy and Ira Palmer; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was invited to a Bible study where she met her current husband, Clarence Littell, and after a short courtship, they were married Dec. 31, 2014, at Coupeville Community Bible Church in Coupeville, Wash.
A memorial service was held for Carolyn at Wallin-Stucky Funeral Home July 26. Pastor Robert McDougal officiated. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Carolyn’s name to Oak Harbor’s Pregnancy Care Clinic at 670 SE Midway Blvd., Oak Harbor, WA 98277.
