Paula Jean Kinkel

August 7, 1951 — March 20, 2023

Paula was born and raised in Oak Harbor. She married Chris on Oct. 12, 1978. Together as a U.S. Marine family, they traveled to North Carolina, Oklahoma, California, and back to Oak Harbor, where they settled when Chris retired from active duty in August 1990.

There are two daughters, Sandy Quinores and Adrienne Sandall, both of Oak Harbor; and a stepson, Sean Kinkel, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Paula was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jean and Paul Schooler. She is survived by Chris, Sandy, Adrienne, two brothers Jim Schooler of Burlington, Wash., and Matt in Arizona. There are seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. There are also numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and outlaws.

A celebration of her life will be held at VFW Post 7392, 3130 N Goldie Road, Oak Harbor, from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023.
