Oak Harbor —
The roar of jet boats return to Oak Harbor as Hydros for Heroes returns for a third season.
Hydros for Heroes is an American Power Boats Association registered, points paying race event.
Approximately 45 – 50 boats will thunder around an oval track between the Oak Harbor Marina and Flintstone Park. Racers from around Puget Sound and from as far away as the east coast are scheduled to participate.
Race fans can see the boats up close as they enter the water with pits located both at the Oak Harbor Marina boat launch and at Flintstone Park at Bayshore and Dock St. Boats with trailers will be at the marina while boats needing to be craned in will be at Flintstone Park.

While watching the races for free from Pioneer Way is a fun and exhilarating experience, there is again a VIP section with special seating along with food and drink. Fans get the closest view possible between turns 1 and 2. Tickets for the VIP experience are $100 each.
There is also paid camping that weekend along Pioneer way.
Hydro’s for Heroes is a charity event sponsored by and run by The Craig McKenzie Team Foundation of Keller Williams Whidbey Realty.
The premise of the event highlights the heroes of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island and other heroes in our local community such as police, firefighters and other such professions.
