Otie Whitaker

Otie Whitaker, a wonderful mother to her three children, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of Nov. 12, 2021. She had battled cancer on and off for many years.

She is survived by her three children, Tonya, Travis and Todd; one grandson, Brandon; and one sister, Ethel.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Catherine; her father, Joel Kisamore; her husband, Gail; three brothers, Marvin, Burl and Jonas; and four sisters, Velma, Vercie, Verda and Esther.

A private service will be held in Petersburg, W.Va., in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, her family would prefer a donation if desired to the American Cancer Society.
